I can not say enough good about Ron, Dave, and the rest of the crew at Autocraft in Orangevale. They’ve helped us many times over the years and we have always found them to be very honest, fair, and upfront…..a rarity in the auto repair industry these days. If you find yourself in need of some auto repair and live anywhere near the Orangevale CA area….consider yourself lucky.

My other half went to have retires rotated and they said her coolant was empty they ran and charged her for a pressure check and said that the head was leaking. They don't do that work and they she probably should sell the car! So I took it to AutoCraft when I got home and he said he was going to charge $185 for and analysis. Which when he called at the end of the day and said come pick her up there's absolutely nothing wrong with it and only charge $99. I'm very happy I've just had them do some work on my little HHR panel there was a disagreement between them and the transmission place. autocraft was rite. 👍
I told him I'll be back to have him change the filter and fluid in my transmission thank you very much

I have been going to Auto craft for the last eleven and a half years for any repair work I need on my '79 GMC pickup that I bought in November of 2007. They have always done excellent work and a more forthright bunch of guys, particularly the owner, Ron, you won't find anywhere.
I just had the truck completely overhauled...as I told them to go over the truck from stem to stern and to do everything that was needed. Given the price of new trucks currently and that even a used truck as much as ten years old , if it has been well maintained, still costs a small fortune, as I am retired and live on a fixed income I decided it was the best thing I could do.
It took them a week, and they told me that it would take at least that much time, and when I did get it back and drove it...I was stunned. It drives like a dream. The repair bill wasn't inexpensive, it cost just under $5k,, but it's running as good as any used truck 40 years old might be dreamed of so running and I figure I'm good for many more years on the road with it.
You can trust this shop to do what is necessary and if they tell you something needs to be done, then trust them, They are a better repair facility than any of the local dealerships I've dealt with and I've bought a few new cars locally in my time. I had a bad experience with every one of those dealerships regarding repairs. Autocraft is not inexpensive but if you want the best mechanics and peace of mind when you're on the road...which is priceless... then this is the shop your want for maintenance and repair work.
Kudos, Ron. to you and your staff. You, once again, have amazed me. It's running like a champ and it's a joy to drive my pickup truck.

I was referred to this place several years ago when I was having issues smogging my Prelude. I found them to do great work, and have all my major vehicle repairs done at AUTOCRAFT. They have always given me great service. Always clearly explaining any mechanic issues I have, letting me know all my options and state the costs of any expense. Had to finally write a review for these guys. I've been very happy with them. I know having older cars worked on isn't any fun to deal with but I truly trust these guys. Eric, has helped me with both my volkswagen and my dodge and been great to work with.

I've had one experience prior where my cars coolant system broke in a few spots a day before a vacation we had planned and they got our car right in and out within a reasonable price and saved us hundreds on a rental car I would have had to purchase.

This time, my water pump exploded and the car was in and out just as fast as the last time. And anyone who knows small cars like this knows that's not an easy job. Nick did a fantastic job.

How wonderful to find really honest, really competent people. For many years I have had a great opportunity of taking our family's cars and vans to Ron, the owner, and Jeremy and Roy and others. Such delightful people and such high skill and experience.

I simply cannot speak too highly of what a remarkable find AutoCraft is. I urge you to go there even if it's a little farther than some other place. By the way, other trades people in town, such as the owner of a smog testing shop, have commented to me on how unusually honest Ron is.

We have been taking our cars to Autocraft for years. We trust the work that they do and know that they are only going to recommend services our cars really need.

I have been encouraging my Mom to go to them for years. She wanted to stick with a mechanic closer to her home, but had grown concerned that they weren't always doing what they said they would do. Her van continued to have issues, but they always convinced her it was okay.

This week my Mom switched to Autocraft and she is absolutely thrilled with her van again. They took care of every issue and brought peace of mind to my Mom and me.

Our family has been going to Autocraft for over 25 years. From oil changes to major repairs, they are great. We have owned Swedish cars, American cars, Japanese cars, German cars... they are all safe and well cared for here. The customer service is above and beyond. Eric even left the office to come jump start my car when my battery died! It is the kind of personal service you can rely on, and the staff feel like friends. We have moved out of Orangevale but still make the drive to Autocraft because we trust them, and know our cars will be in good hands.
