Positives:
- young boy who was looking after us was lovely. Very polite and open to talking about the ranch, horses etc.
- price was reasonable when you pay up front

Negatives:
- no offer of a helmet (if you wanted one)
- no curiosity as to whether I'm a beginner or an experienced rider
- no forms to sign on site (waivers etc.)
- you only walk, no trotting/cantering etc.
- you do a circuit / route that is borderline dull
- by time you were on the horse, you probably only get 30-35 minutes

If you have never ridden a horse, this is fine i guess.
If you have any experience of horse riding and want to experience a Texas ranch rider, I'd maybe consider something where you pay for longer and have clarity as to what you are getting up front.

We did a trail ride at Broken Bow the morning of the April 8 total eclipse, then hung out at the ranch to enjoy the eclipse. Really great experience that we’ll remember forever. Was the first time on a horse for my 7-year-old; he really enjoyed it and is eager to ride horses again. This place is a gem, highly recommend it!

Our family had an excellent experience at Broken Bow Ranch. We had a perfect morning - quiet trail ride, slight breeze, and wildflowers in bloom. Our guide was friendly and worked great with our kids. The horses were well trained. A great opportunity for anyone in the Dallas area.

This was such a great Horseback riding experience for us. I loved the place, the people were really nice. We booked from phone, paid in advance for party of four. By cousins visited from Florida so wanted to give them some texan feel and this place was perfect for them. We did the trail riding which in itself was a great experience and the trail up and down was really beautiful. They even lent us cowboy hats to take pictures. My uncle and aunt didn’t do the horseback riding but they loved the Ranch experience. They also conduct some Summer Camps for kids. The place is perfect for family, couples or even if you just want to get the experience by yourself. The horses were really nice and the instructors were very helpful.

Just got done with a trail ride there and oh my goodness this place is amazing! Beautiful property, well trained horses, and great staff. If you’re looking for a good time this place is it. Thank y’all for such a good time!

I had an amazing time here with my cousin for her birthday! The entire staff (including the kids) are all so knowledgeable and being a first time rider and nervous they made it so easy and also put me at ease. Everyone was so welcoming and nice including the dogs 🥰 10/10 highly recommend!!!

We visited Broken Bow Ranch with a homeschool group and had the best time! We loved how many different activities the kids got to do. The ride was awesome, and then archery, fishing, and roping! We can't wait to go back!!
