We had an amazing experience with Chicago Family Doulas for postpartum overnight care twice a week when my son was 5 weeks to 9 weeks old. If you have the means to use this service, or if your employer has a doula benefit, I would HIGHLY recommend reaching out to this agency. I filled out their online form in a daze of sleeplessness on a Sunday morning, after finding out my husband's company offered a $2,000 doula reimbursement. Someone replied immediately and set up a call for later that day. We were matched with a doula later that week, had a zoom call to meet/interview her, and she started on Thursday night. Our doula, Anika, was incredibly sweet, a great communicator, and took amazing care of our son while my husband and I were able to get uninterrupted sleep twice a week. We ended up using her services for longer than the work benefit fully paid for, but it was worth it. This was our second child, and it completely changed my postpartum experience. I wish we would have hired her sooner than 5 weeks. I highly recommend researching your company's benefits to see if you have anything like this offered to you!

Working with Chicago Family Doulas has been so great! The entire process was seamless. They made sure we felt comfortable and had all of our questions answered. They were also extremely flexible and worked with our schedule. Our doula Becky has been so amazing. She sent us notes each morning on how the baby did each night. We knew our baby was in the best care with her and were able to get great sleep! Finding someone that cares for your child as much as you do is so relieving to find and that’s exactly what we found in Becky. We will definitely use Becky in the future.

We hired Adrienne at Chicago Family Doulas for 9 weeks of nighttime postpartum care for our first child. She was outstanding--incredibly kind, knowledgeable about baby care and development, compassionate, and supportive. She taught us about baby sleep patterns, feeding, and general health, which equipped us with the skills and knowledge we were looking for as first time parents. We felt entirely comfortable welcoming her into our home for 9 weeks at night and fully trusted her to care for our baby, which allowed us to sleep and recover. We would not think twice about hiring Adrienne for a second time. Chicago Family Doulas was also great to work with--they were very responsive over email, thoughtfully matched our needs and personality with Adrienne, and checked in before baby arrived and during our doula services to offer support.

I would recommend CFD to anyone thinking about postpartum care. Becky was amazing and always knew what to do, and did everything efficiently, she did our overnight care and it helped our family so much. Not only did she help us survive for the first 7 weeks, but she always checked on us emotionally to see how we were doing. I wish we would’ve done something like this for our first child!

The admins , Anna and Bryn were always there checking on us too to see if we were doing okay. They always texted, called and emailed so quickly whenever I had questions. Overall such an amazing experience. Worth every penny.
