I've been to most of the repair shops in Cameron Park and after going to Foothill Automotive I absolutely won't go anywhere else. Rob is by far the best and most experienced mechanic around. He knows the ins and outs of every issue, is very friendly and takes the time to answer any questions I might have. He knows all the other repair shops and never hesitates to recommend another shop for quality work that they don't handle. They charge a competitive labor price and don't over charge for parts even though they always use original manufacturer's parts. I know I can trust them to do the job right and the quote you get is the price you pay. Once another related part failed on the same system after the first repair and they fixed it again under warranty and only charged for the part. It's refreshing to find such an honest shop. I'm so glad I found them and highly recommend them for any repairs on your vehicle. I just hope Rob doesn't decide to retire anytime soon.

We had. friends visit from Canada and they were having car issues while on the trip. We took the car to Rob on Monday morning asking him to diagnose. He was already fully booked that day but he fit us in. He looked carefully at the car and put together a repair plan later that morning. It confirmed what we suspected. He said he could get parts and complete repair by close of business next day. He completed the repairs ($1,000) later the next morning and they were ready to go. So he fit us in, completed the repairs and solved the problem in a day and a half. We so appreciate his skills in finding the problem, repairing it, and getting them back on the road in such a timely fashion. Rob and company performed flawlessly on resolving this issue. Well done Rob!

Finally, I found an honest, competent car repair shop. This shop fixed a problem that dealerships failed to do. This shop only does what is necessary and does not engage in unethical behavior. I trust these folks and my vehicles have found a home, finally! You will not be disappointed.

Could not be happier with the service I received from Foothill Auto! My Ford Focus broke down during my commute and I was fearful that it would be a costly repair. The auto tech fully examined my vehicle and thoroughly diagnosed the issue as a battery concern. The staff worked my vehicle in ahead of schedule so that I could have my commuter returned quickly. The auto tech also thoroughly explained the issue and was SO KIND. There is an overall priority on safety and efficiency, as well as fantastic customer service. I am so impressed, we will definitely be returning!

Our first time here, they quickly fixed what several other shops had failed to fix. We'd spent over $2000 at other shops. Rob did it right within a few hours and only charged about $70, including parts. Our whole family's older vehicles have been easy to keep up because of Foothill's honest practices. If it only takes an hour to do the work, you get charged for that hour; NOT for the maximum the Ca. Auto Repair Board or whatever it's called has listed as the maximum time ($) allowed to charge for that job. Ask any shop about that. If they have integrity, they charge for actual time spent on your repair. Integrity deserves to be recognized. Thanks, Foothill. You truly are the best; no contest.
